Student Minister
Victory Christian Church, a dynamic non-denominational church located in a college town south of Indianapolis, is on the lookout for a Student Minister. Boasting a growing congregation of 1,500 members, our mission is to “Connect people back to God” by engaging the unbeliever, equipping the believer, and preparing all to be fully engaged followers of Jesus.
We are currently in an exciting period of revival and are seeking an individual who shares our vision and dedication to Student Ministry. The ideal candidate will have a deep-rooted faith and a strong desire to lead and develop a student ministry that appeals to our middle and high school students. This role requires a mix of theological soundness, creativity, and the ability to implement programs that support Victory's wider vision. The Student Minister will oversee our youth staff and volunteers, minister to students and their families, and serve as a prominent leader and catalyst for students to live out their faith.
We are searching for a collaborative team player who is ready to innovate, inspire, and make a significant impact on the lives of young believers. If you are passionate about guiding youth on their spiritual journey and are eager to contribute to a thriving church, we invite you to apply.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven ability to create and successfully implement new programs in a collaborative environment, aligned with the church's vision.
* Demonstrated spirit for strategic exploration, leadership, innovation, and change.
* A passion for excellence and continuous development/learning in all aspects of student ministry (including students, families, volunteers, leaders, teams, vision, and programming).
* Ability to equip and encourage parents to spiritually nurture their children.
* A passion for providing compelling opportunities for students and families to discover their Christian identity.
* Servant leadership with proven skills in identifying, recruiting, developing, equipping, encouraging, and managing volunteers.
* An energetic, infectious personality experienced in utilizing these gifts to effectively lead students.
Education Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree in ministry, education, or a related field is highly desired.
* Conversant in the faith formation of students with an emphasis on adolescence issues (spiritual, theological, sociological, developmental, cultural).
* Knowledge of and exposure to adult-related/pastoral care ministries (to pastorally care for parents and families).
