Grave Robber

“Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My People, and brought you up from your graves. I will put my spirit in you and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know, that I the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.” Ezekiel 37: 13-14
Do you know why I love this Scripture? Because it speaks of life in the midst of death and of the power of the Resurrection. Many of us have something in our lives that is dead and seems buried deep in the grave. Perhaps it is a relationship, a dream for your life, or maybe you feel like you, as a whole, have been buried in the grave.
Let me tell you today, friend, God is bigger than the grave. He is bigger than what lies in the grave. He is able to breathe life into you and cause you to live once again. He can take that broken heart, that troubled past, that impossible dream, resurrect it out of the grave, and give it new life.
Not only will He bring you out of the grave, but He will also set you in your own land. Now think of this - the Scripture says He will place you in your own land. That means He has a place prepared just for you. He has a destiny and a future just for you. He isn’t going to take you from the grave and then place you in your neighbor’s land, your Father’s land or even your brother’s land. He will place you in your land.
God is forever telling us in the Scriptures that we belong to Him, and He is the life force that will sustain us, even after death. Read the Scripture again. He says “O My People”. He didn’t say “Hey, you down there!” He claimed us for His own by using that wonderful little word-my. And He shows His strength, grace and compassion by rescuing us from the pit, the grave. Why? Because we need someone to rescue us. If we were capable of rescuing ourselves, we wouldn’t be in the grave in the first place! The loving kindness of the Father even descends into the darkest pit to redeem and rescue what is precious to Him.
I encourage you to seek the Lord and ask Him to reveal to you what lies in your grave. What is it that used to be precious to you that now lies dead and buried in a forgotten tomb? What area of your life needs a revival that only the Spirit of the living God can bring?
The Lord God finds value in what lies in the grave, or He wouldn’t determine to bring it forth. To Him, what is in the grave is not lost or beyond redeeming. He sees life where all we can see is emptiness and death. I encourage you take heed the voice of the Father calling you out of the tomb. Receive His renewing spirit of life and dwell in the land that He has prepared for you!
